Civic Engagements

In the fall of 2019 the Krimson Foundation began supporting the Abington-Ambler Alumni Kappa Guide Right Program, working with targeted Eastern Montgomery PA area high schools and their Superintendents and Principals to provide onsite mentoring within the schools to better accommodate their overall needs and challenges with minority students.  This monthly collaboration was determined by the district officials as a means to decrease the achievement gap for minorities, in particular African-American Male Students, while increasing overall Guide Right recruitment and retention in the high schools of Eastern Montgomery County PA through 2030. 

It is through this continued partnership with the Kappas and the schools that allows us to effectively assist the needs of both the parents and the students through mentoring as well as participating in targeted racial/equity committees and forums.
